Alysha Suryah

Alysha Suryah (she/they) works with memory and land through an intuitive multidisciplinary practice that explores how loss changes us and how we learn to live with it. Certified as a death doula and permaculture designer, she examines the intersections of death, ecology, and culture. Her work centers on how the natural world shapes grief, memorialization, and our relationships with the dead.

She is the creator of Using Mugwort in Death Acceptance, a zine exploring the folklore and funerary traditions of the plant, and crafts hand-fabricated metal ritual objects—including pendulums—that extend this inquiry into tactile, divinatory practice. They are passionate about advancing collaborative research, public education, and ecological frameworks for death care worldwide.
